Sorry for the delay, hang really tough

I'm unbelievably busy at the moment so the gallery script is on the back burner. Once things slow down just a bit I'll jump back on it, promise.

Also, I'm having no luck with my RSS feed as it shows up empty. The W3C feed validator is having trouble finding it so I'm unable to analyze it for syntax. Any ideas? FYI: feed is generated by Wordpress 1.5.1

Update: I'm planning on upgrading to Wordpress 2.x shortly. That should resolve the RSS issue.

    Dreamhost is where its at… well at least in my experience. They increase your space/bandwidth each week you host with them. I've been there 5 years now, and can't say enough about them.

    I use Dreamhost as well and I do agree - they rule! For $7.95/mo you get 1TB of bandwidth. And their customer service is great.

    Site5.com all the way for me. Excellent uptime, unparalleled support (wow, long word) and great shared packages (ooh-err missus).

    I recommend Dreamhostas well. I signed up in November of 2005 and have been nothing but impressed. You get 20 GB of diskspace and 1 TB of transfer a month plus 8 GB transfer extra permantly added every single week. When I signed on it was only 2.5 GB diskspace and 100 GB transfer a month with 1 GB transfer added a week. Needless to say I was very shocked..

    You may still be able to get the Crazy Domain Insane deal for just $10 for your entire first year if you use promo code 777 before checkout. This would be the way to go if you want to give it a try. I know it sounds way too good to be true, but I guarantee that you won't be disappointed with them.     I am going to pay full price next year gladly for their service. bitterfly is more than correct, their customer service is definitely top notch even for the $10 year promo accounts. It's just unbelievable.

    Oh, and with Dreamhost you also get full shell access without having to send in a copy of your ID and whatnot. You can also create additional shell users (up to 75 with Crazy Domain Insane) and your own groups. They even allow access to screen! These were major selling points to me.

    Dreamhost has some restrictions for scripting, PHP scripts etc,

    I recommend siteground.com and maybe eleven2.com

    i stay away from companies with no infrastructure of their own. most of these "low price" hosting joints merely rent rack space from data centers.

    my personal favorite: www.hostingplex.com

    in addition to on-line "live chat", they have a toll-free tel. # and a real office in Toronto, ON/Canada.

    it's my 3rd year with them.. pretty impressed with all the features/price/service.

    I use yohost for their excellent personal service and wide variety of technologies available at your disposal - at least on their Windows plans:

    ColdFusion MX
    PHP
    mySQL
    Access
    SQL Server
    Perl
    eCommerce carts
    cheap static IPs & SSL certificates
    etc etc,

    Space isn't overly generous - my middle of the road plan gives me 5 domains and 250Mb of disk along with 6Gb of bandwidth per month.

    But I'm running 4 sites off there. If it wasn't for my need of CF space I'd probably jump ship to Dreamhost though.

    Yes, Dreamhost is my recommendation too. They have everything I need, great service, and the space is incredible — $7.95/month for 20 GB disk space and 1 terabyte bandwidth. If you do sign up for them, use someone's link to give them rewards for referrals. (Here's mine). For a more expansive take on why Dreamhost is the best, see Mike D.'s blog.

    Thanks for the script–I'll keep trying to make it work in Wordpress (I can't get it to work using Wordpress 2.0 with the K2 theme). It looks great, though.

    Almost all hosts rent space from data centers. I can't imagine one having the backbone needed for all the servers (or all the servers, depending on the size of their client base)…

    The big numbers are usually massive oversell. They use the numbers to attract you knowing there's no possible way you're going to need a terabyte plus 8 new gig of bandwidth every week.

    I recommend eleven2 simply because Travis has helped me learn a lot about actionscript… I'm upgrading to a reseller account with them tomorrow most likely.

    Phpwebhosting is the best i know. it cost like 13$ USD per month with no bandwith limite, no Database limit, no swf/html/php limit nothing is limited, its the best and its fast, located in North-eastern of American continent…..very good! and fast…and no limits!!!

    I have just opened a dreamhost account due to the fact that I need some bandwidth and ruby on rails support.
    I however have been using mediatemple.net and I am incredibly happy with them. Their support is top notch. They are quick to respond to tickets and you can pick up the phone and get through to them on the phone no matter the hour. Great people.

    I love this script, and I'm going to use it on my site - IF someone can explain why I get a strip down the right side of my screen (about 60px wide) that the overlay does not cover.

    Incredibly nice script there -just having some small problems with javascript conflicts, using lightbox (newest release).

    If i call any javascript before i call lightbox.js, the first called doesnt work, and opposite, lightbox will only work in MSIE and FF if its the last one called.. In safari it works anyways

    Regarding the RSS feeds, have you tried updating to WordPress 2.0.1?

    Also, thanks to everyone on the thread who recommended Dreahost as a hosting service.

    Oh, and I love Lightbox. Don't work yourself to death on the next version. Quality is worth the wait.

    #33 NM - To remove the strip on the right side, try getting rid of the default margin applied to the body tag as so:
    body{ margin: 0; }

    #38 Chris Perardi - The RSS is still acting up and I think you're right, upgrading to Wordpress 2.0.1 is something I should do anyway and it would likely resolve the issue.

    For example

    I am getting the same problem as NNM with the overlay not covering the whole are in Explorer (Mozilla is OK).
